Why Steadfast exists
After fifteen years managing moves across New York City, I thought I understood what moving meant to people. I was wrong.
I understood the logistics — the trucks, the paperwork, the elevator windows, the co-op boards. What I didn't fully understand was what it felt like to watch someone stand in the middle of an apartment they'd lived in for decades, paralyzed not by the boxes around them, but by everything those boxes represented.
